Privacy Policy.

Aadibloom operates Word Quest, listed on Google Play as “Word Quest: Word Search.” This policy explains how the educational game and its connected services handle information. Word Quest is designed for children and families.

1. Information players provide

No account or sign-in is required. The game does not ask players for a name, email address, date of birth, home address, payment information, or account credentials. It has no public profiles, chat, user uploads, or in-app purchases.

The app does not request access to contacts, the camera, microphone, photos, or precise device location. Connected services may still process the limited technical information described below.

If a parent or guardian contacts support, Aadibloom receives the email address and any information included in the message. Please do not send unnecessary information about a child.

2. Information stored on your device

Word Quest stores the following information in Android’s private app storage:

• Learning level, category, round, completed rounds, words found, word paths, and progress timestamps
• Sound settings, tutorial status, and previously displayed announcements
• Notification-permission prompt status and up to 30 notification-inbox entries, including their title, message, time, and read status
• Downloaded word content and its version information
• Cached onboarding content, tab and header configuration, and remote icons for reuse and offline access when available
• Cached Wikipedia word descriptions, article links, image references, and downloaded Wikimedia images for reuse

Aadibloom does not operate player accounts or a cloud database that synchronizes game progress. Android backup or device-transfer services may copy eligible local data according to the device, Google account, backup provider, and system settings.

3. Technical information and Google services

The app uses the following Google services. These services may receive an IP address, app or installation identifiers, app and device characteristics, event or diagnostic information, and general location inferred from an IP address. Word Quest does not request Android location permission.

• Google Analytics for Firebase: first opens, sessions, engagement, supported interactions, app-instance identifier, and app/device characteristics to understand app use and performance.
• Firebase Crashlytics: crash traces, relevant app state, app version, device/OS information, and installation identifiers to find and fix crashes.
• Firebase Remote Config and Installations: installation and app identifiers, SDK/OS versions, language, country, and time zone to deliver and maintain app configuration.
• Firebase Cloud Messaging: messaging token, installation identifier, app version, and delivery/interaction information to deliver announcements and update messages.
• Cloud Storage for Firebase: requested file path, app identifier, SDK version, and network information to download updated word categories and clues.
• Google Play services: app, installation, device, and update information to check for updates and support Play features.

Cloud Storage is not used to upload game progress, learning results, photos, audio, or user-created content. Installation identifiers distinguish an app installation and should not be treated as completely anonymous.

4. Advertising

Depending on app configuration and local privacy requirements, Word Quest may display banner and native advertisements supplied by Google AdMob. Google User Messaging Platform checks whether a privacy message is required, and the app requests an ad only when the platform reports that it is permitted.

Ad requests are configured for child-directed treatment, non-personalized advertising, age-restricted treatment, and a maximum content rating of G. Publisher ad personalization and publisher first-party identifiers are disabled. The Android Advertising ID permission and Android Privacy Sandbox advertising permissions are removed from the app.

The Google Mobile Ads SDK may process an IP address, general location inferred from it, ad impressions and taps, diagnostic information, and app- or installation-related identifiers for ad delivery, measurement, security, and fraud prevention.

Aadibloom does not sell or rent personal information and does not use Word Quest information for personalized advertising, interest-based advertising, remarketing, or cross-context behavioural advertising.

5. Downloaded content, Wikipedia, and pronunciation

The game can use bundled or previously downloaded content and may download updated word categories and clues from Firebase Storage.

Aadibloom content services

Word Quest downloads onboarding content, tab and header configuration, and remote icons from Aadibloom APIs and the hosting providers that serve this content, including Cloudflare for the APIs. API requests include an app key identifying the app and a locale identifying the requested language or region. Aadibloom and its hosting providers also receive the connection’s IP address as part of handling these requests. This information is processed to deliver the requested content. The Aadibloom API does not maintain a player request-history database or save IP addresses in its application database. Its application error messages report content or database failures without including player IP addresses or request details. Hosting providers may separately process network and request logs to operate, diagnose, and secure their services.

Wikipedia descriptions and Wikimedia images

Opening a word popup with the Wikipedia feature can request a description and a related image directly from Wikipedia and Wikimedia services. To find the intended meaning, requests can include the game word, its learning category, selected terms from its clue, related word forms, and article or image titles. These are game-content terms rather than text entered by a player. Wikimedia receives the device’s IP address, the requested search, article, or image information, and technical request information. API and image requests identify Word Quest and its app version through a User-Agent header; they do not include Aadibloom backend API keys or app authentication headers.

Descriptions, article links, image references, and downloaded images are cached on the device to reduce repeat downloads. Description results with an image are reused for up to 24 hours before another lookup; results without an image may be refreshed after five minutes. Image files have a separate local cache and may remain until replaced or cleared.

Tapping “Read on Wikipedia” opens the article in an in-app web viewer. Loading and navigating those pages sends requests directly to Wikipedia and any services used by the pages. The viewer may store cookies and website data separately from the app’s description and image caches. Wikimedia handles information from these requests and page visits under its Privacy Policy.

Word pronunciation

Word Quest uses your device’s text-to-speech service to pronounce game words. The app prefers an offline voice when available. Depending on the installed speech engine and available voices, words may be sent to and processed online by the speech provider, subject to that provider’s privacy policy. This feature does not access the microphone or record your voice. Pronunciation follows the app’s sound settings, including the sound switch and volume control.

6. Notifications and your choices

Users can allow or decline Android notification permission and manage it through Android Settings. Declining permission prevents system notifications from appearing but does not remove locally stored inbox messages or necessarily stop Firebase Cloud Messaging registration.

Sound and word pronunciation can be controlled in the app. Android Clear storage/Clear data removes local game progress, preferences, notification history, downloaded content, and cached images. Clearing only the cache removes cached files rather than all app data; content and images may be downloaded again when needed. Clearing local data does not delete information already received by connected services or backup copies. The app does not currently provide switches for disabling Firebase Analytics or Crashlytics.

7. Sharing and international processing

Connected features send the information described above to Google and its service providers, Aadibloom and its content-hosting providers, including Cloudflare, Wikimedia for Wikipedia descriptions, images, and article viewing, and the device’s speech provider when online pronunciation is used. Aadibloom’s email provider processes support messages. Information may also be disclosed when reasonably necessary to comply with law, protect users, secure the app, investigate abuse, or protect legal rights.

Google and other service providers may process information outside the user’s country. Where applicable law requires transfer safeguards, the providers’ applicable contractual protections, approved transfer mechanisms, and data-protection terms apply. 8. Children’s privacy and parental requests

Word Quest is designed for children and families. A child does not need to provide identifying details to play. Automatic technical information and installation identifiers described in this policy may nevertheless be personal information under some laws.

A parent or guardian may contact Aadibloom to ask about information associated with a child, request access, correction, or deletion where applicable, or ask that further collection stop. Aadibloom may request limited information needed to verify and process the request.

Because Word Quest has no player accounts, Aadibloom may not be able to connect an email address to installation-based information held by a service provider. Aadibloom will explain available steps and any lawful or technical limitations.

9. Privacy rights and legal bases

Depending on local law, users and their parents or guardians may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to processing; obtain a portable copy; withdraw consent; or complain to a privacy regulator. Requests can be sent to the email address below. Aadibloom will not discriminate against someone for exercising an applicable privacy right.

Where European Economic Area or United Kingdom data-protection law applies, Aadibloom relies on legitimate interests to operate, secure, diagnose, and improve the app where those interests do not override a child’s rights; consent where the law requires it; and legal obligations when processing is necessary to comply with law. Users may object to processing based on legitimate interests.

California and other applicable US residents may request the categories or specific pieces of personal information collected, correction, or deletion where provided by law. Aadibloom does not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioural advertising.

10. Retention, deletion, and security

Local progress and preferences remain until cleared in the app or Android settings or removed by uninstalling. Downloaded content and cached images may be replaced by updates or removed when the cache or app storage is cleared. Eligible data may be restored from an Android backup. Resetting game progress does not necessarily remove preferences, notification history, downloaded content, cached images, backup copies, or information already sent to a service provider.

Wikipedia description results and Wikimedia images are stored in the app’s cache and may be refreshed, replaced, or removed when the cache or app storage is cleared. Clearing those caches does not necessarily clear cookies or website data held by the in-app web viewer. Android Clear storage/Clear data removes the app’s local data, including its web-viewer data. Clearing local data does not delete request or visit records already received by Wikimedia; Wikimedia retains that information according to its privacy policy and applicable retention practices.

Hosting-provider request and diagnostic records are retained according to the provider’s service settings, applicable policies, and legal obligations. Aadibloom does not maintain a separate archive of player API requests. Clearing app storage does not delete hosting-provider records.

Google retains analytics, crash, installation, messaging, advertising, diagnostic, and fraud-prevention information according to its product settings, retention controls, policies, and legal obligations. Support messages are kept only as long as reasonably necessary for support, records, disputes, security, and legal obligations.

Local information is kept in Android’s private app storage, and connected services use encrypted network connections. Aadibloom takes reasonable protective measures, but no device, network, or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure.

11. Changes to this policy

Aadibloom may revise this Privacy Policy when app features, data practices, third-party services, or applicable requirements change. The updated policy will be published at the same Privacy Policy address with a revised Last Updated date. Where additional notice or consent is required, publishing an updated policy alone does not replace that requirement.
